Ok, so it turns out I'm like lot of "creatives" - pretty much the quiet Close Observer, many times more expressive in what I produce than face-to-face. Easier that way. Don't like to type-cast myself, and it took a good while to sort this out, but there ya are! And, it applies as much to the writing as to the photography; no surprise, really.
As a freelance known professionally as "pixwords," I'm open (and better had be!) to assignments visual and textual.
So, if you seek an experienced Washington, DC-based journalist to write on the topics of national & homeland security affairs, military technology, automotive (well, OK, motorcycles) or travel features, pause and check the clips. I'm well-connected, have an extensive contact/source file and a solid reputation for delivering strong, enterprise-reported stories. I also contribute photographic coverage for my stories as needed.
